Holy Week at First Cumberland
HOLY WEEK AT FIRST CUMBERLAND
Blessed: Cantata for Palm Sunday.
Blessed explores Holy Week through the lens of the Beatitudes. In his Sermon on the
Mount, Christ blesses the very people deemed unworthy by the religious elite. Christ’s
life becomes a living parable of each blessing. Rather than re-telling past events, Blessed
draws the listener in as part of the crowd listening to the Sermon on the Mount. Through
this experience we invite you to see the Beatitudes with a new understanding: Jesus
is not only the One who blesses, but the One who saves and lives as our example.
